Community Support

Our people are passionate about delivering the best service and we're passionate about employing and developing the best people.

"The ACS team have been truly fantastic supporters of our work at BCRT, fundraising tirelessly to help us continue to fund research awareness of primary bone cancer in their communities. We love working with ACS - it's an absolute pleasure!"

Community Support

We believe all successful businesses should put something back into society, over and above the employment they create. It's the responsible thing to do. At ACS we choose a new charity partner each year so that we can give back to different much needed charities. These have included Nordoff Robins, the music therapy charity, Anthony Nolan, the blood cancer charity, BCRT, the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the Yorkshire Children's Trust. To date we have raised over £55,000 for these charities by:

   >    Donating 10p from every single order we receive

   >    Staging numerous fundraising days

   >    Operating an optional salary sacrifice scheme

This year's charity partner is BBC Children In Need

BBC Children in Need makes a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK through grants to around 2,400 projects, large and small. Together, they help to empower disadvantaged children and extend their life choices. The Children in Need vision is to help every child in the UK have a childhood that is safe, happy and secure, and which allows them the chance to reach their potential.

In April 2014, we appointed Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) as our nominated charity for 12 months.

For all our partner charities each of our employees make a personal donation every month from their salaries. Throughout the year we also donate 10p for every order we receive and organise fundraising events.

In August 2014, our Managing Director, Mike Hussain and Simon Walsh our E-commerce Manager carried out a 10 day charity challenge trek up Machu Picchu in Peru. Flying from London Heathrow to Lima they were met by a Charity Challenge Representative. Each day included a set itinerary when they completed up to 9 hours of walking, enjoying spectacular scenery they had to acclimatise to high altitudes of 11,400 ft.

ACS helped raise £15,859.89 for BCRT.
